Canon was born in 2002, somewhere near a haze floating just over a desk, under which was a pile of records. After a long education at home and in the U.K. studying literature, Canon emerged with the following stock blurb: Our artists work with us in a partnership, and are not bound to us in any of the traditional ways. We record, produce, and sell records. We promote in a limited capacity through our friends. We help the artists learn to market themselves, giving them all the opportunities we can. A safe and defined relationship gives the artist control of their work, and allows them to shine and excite. It's an experiment we believe in.
